Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary branch of engineering focused on the design of automated, computer-controlled electromechanical systems. It’s a kind of “future of engineering”. Initially, the course has subjects such as: calculus, inorganic chemistry, mechanics and basic algebra. In the specific part, subjects are introduced that include: electrical circuits, electronics, systems control and industrial automation. As several subjects in the course involve practical and experimental aspects, they naturally include classes in specific laboratories. We must also consider, when practicing mechatronics, the importance of knowledge of materials, their alloys and physical-chemical properties.
