The textile industry aims to transform fibers into yarns, yarns into fabrics and fabrics into clothing, textile articles[note 1] for the home and domestic use (bed and table linen, carpets, curtains, etc.) or articles for technical applications (geotextile products, airbags, seat belts, etc.).
